My New Goal


I started working out again, today!  Yep, and it felt great!  It is my goal to lose 10 pounds by August 22, the day we move to Denver.  My husband and I are living with my parents for the rest of the summer and they own a LOT of GOOD exercise equipment.  I have spent the last 2 years sitting on my butt doing math all day and I’m glad to say I ONLY gained 10-15 pounds.  I have gone up 1 pant size.  I must admit, it was rather depressing weight losswhen I had to buy new jeans, haha.  I have already lost about 5 pounds in the last month from working at Petsmart.  Just being up and about and actually standing and doing things helped me lose a little.  Specifically, I want to be 108 pounds by Aug. 22.

Now, now, I know I’m not fat so don’t get all crazy on me.  I just know that I’m not my ideal weight and body condition.  I might start having babies in a couple years and I want to make sure my body is in prime condition when I do.  I am going to be spending the next 5 years of my life sitting on my butt doing math, so I need to start getting in the habit of keeping in shape while I have time.  It takes 30 days to build a habit, right?  I used to work out regularly before I got married and I loved it.  I am excited to get back in the groove of it and continue my routine at my school gym.

I have 54 days to attain my goal.  That’s an average of 0.1851851851… pounds per day!!  SIMPLE, right?!  I will be recording my weight every day.  At my halfway mark of 27 days I will share my progress with you (hopefully 5 pounds).  I will be spending 10 days in August at the lake and will make an effort to swim a decent distance every day I’m there.  I hear swimming is supposed to be the best workout ever, so I’m pretty excited!

Anyway, my husband is watching “Killing for a Living” on the Animal Planet and I can’t keep my eyes off the TV.  Wish me luck with my goal!

    that’s crazy…i seriously just started working out again last night too!!! Ok, we’ll maybe not a full on work out, but I was feeling lazy and I did some push-ups for the first time in like a year! Good luck with your goal…hope you keep at it!

    Since i have been drinking Mona Vie I have felt alot more energy. I have also noticed that I dont crave icecream so I have lost weight

    Speaking of ice cream… I had a bowl last night. I don’t think I could give up my ice cream!! Haha. I’ll look into that Mona Vie. I’ve never heard of it.
