Lila had her 2 month check-up this morning. Here are her new measurements and percentiles.
Weight: 10 pounds 14 ounces, 35th percentile Height: 22.5 inches, 40th percentile Head Circumference: 15.5 inches, 60th percentile
So she’s a little one! Doc wasn’t concerned though and said she is perfectly healthy. Although she’s on the smaller side, she’s still in the normal range and since she’s pooping, peeing, eating, and developing, there is no reason to be worried about her weight. Yay!
When I told him that she is starting to reach and grab at toys that hang from her play mat, he was pleasantly surprised and said that she’s actually ahead of the game when it comes to that. I guess most babies do that at around 3 months and sometimes not until 4 months old. Go Lila!
He was also happy to hear that Lila is sleeping 5-6 hours at night and said it probably won’t be long before she’s sleeping 8-10 hours (because she’s sleeping so well already). Oh my goodness, if I can start getting 8-10 hours of sleep at night that would just be amazing!
Lila also got her first set of immunizations today. Dave and I were considering delaying some of them, but we decided to go ahead and put her on a normal schedule. So she got Acellular DPT, Prevnar, IPV, Hemophilus B, Hepatitis B, and Rotateq. As a result of the shots, Lila is a little tired today, but doing good. She did have about an hour of major irritability, but that’s it. And she doesn’t have a fever.
I’m so happy that her appointment went well
