Lila had her 4 month well baby check-up today. It went great!
Here’s her new stats:
Yay for her giant head! Doc is very happy with her growth (5% increase in weight) and said that there is no need to introduce solids yet. However, if she starts eating more than 10 times a day, it may be a sign that she’s ready. She usually eats about 8 times a day. I’m so happy that he isn’t pushing solids on her yet. I’ll likely wait until her 6 month appointment before starting her on them.
We talked about her development and doc said she is doing awesome in this department. He was surprised when I told him that Lila is learning to sit already. He said that she is hitting milestones early and jokingly (I hope!) said that she might be walking at her 6 month appointment. When he was cleaning some ear wax from her ear, he also noted that she is really strong for her age.
We also talked about her drool rash and he said to keep doing what I’m doing: putting on Aquaphor and/or Lansinoh. Lila also has some dry patches on her shoulder and doc referred to it as a mild case of eczema But it’s nothing to worry about – a little cream from the store should fix it. There’s no need for a prescribed lotion.
Her appointment ended with her second round of immunizations. She did well. She cried, but I nursed her right after and she’s been good since. In fact, she’s napping right now.
Yay for a good appointment!
