Terrifying Experience
I spent my Wednesday night in the ER due to complications in my pregnancy. This was the first time in my memory I’ve even been to the ER as a patient and I was there for worst possible reason – fear of my baby’s life. I want to share my story with you and I will be giving some details, so if girl things gross you out (guys!) you may not want to read (it’s not too bad). This will also be very long and I understand if you don’t want to read it. I will say now, Baby is doing fine – Thank God!
A Day at the Park
Yesterday, I was home alone all day without a car. So instead of sitting at my computer for the entire day, I decided to walk Ally and Epsilon to the park in a nearby housing development. It was such a beautiful day for it too! Ally got to chase a lot of squirrels and Epsilon rolled on random stuff… good times. Anyway, I brought my D90 along and wanted to share some of the pics I got.
You may notice that Epsilon got a haircut and I left his mustache. I’m not too sure how I feel about it. I think it’s funny, not necessarily cute
Snowy Puppies
Here’s a little video of my babies in the snow. Ally, the schnauzer doesn’t seem to care about it, but Epsilon, the yorkie, is quite bothered by it. He gets soooooo cold. It’s pretty sad. But I’m gonna buy him some booties so that his little feet don’t get frostbite
Enjoy!

Chapped Tongue
My parents have a rather strange Yorkshire terrier named Ruckus. He almost always has his tongue sticking out. The problem is: he’ll fall asleep with it out and it’s gets all dry. So I went ahead and put some chap stick on it for him…
The Puppies of the Family
Here’s a little video of all the puppies in my family. Ally and Epsilon are my two babies and Ruckus and Beast are my parents’ doggies. Enjoy!
- Beast – 2 years – Yorkshire Terrier
- Ally – 2 years – Miniature Schnauzer
- Ruckus – 1 year – Yorkshire Terrier
- Epsilon – 1 year – Yorkshire Terrier
Lake Oroville, Here We Come… (Eventually)
Tonight is the beginning of our annual family vacation to our houseboat on Lake Oroville. We will be there for 10 days. I love this vacation because it is one of the few times of the year that the whole family is together. My parents, husband, brother, brother’s girlfriend, sister, sister’s “boyfriend” (she claims he’s just a friend), and I are those who are going. That makes 8 of us.
Eight people requires a lot shopping. My dad and I spent over 2 hours in Costco today and spent almost $1000. That isn’t even everything. I am currently sitting in the truck while my parents do more shopping at Nob Hill. We also always drive into town in the middle of the trip to get more food. It always amazes me how much food we go through. I’m used to shopping for 2, not 8.
Although I am very excited about this trip, I absolutely despise this part of it. It is 10 o’clock at night and we’re still shopping. I’m starving and thinking about how most fast food places are closing right now and most of the ones that are still open probably only have the drive-through open… it’s not really an option to go through a drive-through in a double cab long bed truck that’s pulling a boat. /sigh maybe I’ll eat food from a gas station for dinner.
In all honestly, I probably won’t be too happy until tomorrow afternoon. If we’re lucky, we’ll get to the lake at 2 AM and by the time we unload all this stuff and get on the houseboat the sun will be rising. This will be the part where I blow up my air mattress and pass out. Meanwhile, my dad and husband will be driving the houseboat to the marina and pumping it out. Then the sun will start beating on my head and I’ll irrationally wake up with my feelings hurt because my husband never came to bed with me. I won’t be in a satisfied state until I’ve been awake for a couple hours, had at least 2 cups of coffee, and been playing with Photoshop Elements 6 that I just installed on my laptop. I must sound like a selfish, spoiled b****, but in my defense, I’m PMSing.
In all reality, I’ll probably be fine once I have dinner… IF I have dinner.

1:28 PM: I got some sleep! I feel great! I just need some food in my tummy. But NOW I am truely excited for the trip, the bad part is over. My brother and his girlfriend are getting here on Sunday… Can’t wait!
