Lila pooped in her little potty for the first time today!

Lila has known for a long time now that “potty” means to sit on her little potty. Recently, I’ve been having her sit on her potty without a diaper on a couple times a day. Normally it doesn’t last longer than a minute. She does, however, always ask for toilet paper so that she can “wipe”!

Well. It’s official. Lila is no longer breastfeeding. Yesterday was the first time she went an entire day without nursing.
Lila’s such a little busybody that I’m convinced that she thinks nursing interferes too much with her “plans”. With a sippy cup, she can take drinks in between doing other things.

I did it! I met my goal to breastfeed Lila for at least one year!
Despite our rough start, breastfeeding this past year has gone wonderfully and I am so glad that I stuck with it. Except for the first week when we had to supplement with formula to get Lila up to her birth weight, Lila was exclusively breastfed for the first 6 months – and I mean breastfed. No bottles. On her 6 month birthday, we... 
Lila had her 12 month check up last week and it went quite well! First, let’s jump into her stats:
Weight: 18 pounds – 10th percentile
Height: 28.25 inches – 15th percentile
Head Circumference: 17.75 inches – 50th percentile
Yay!! Lila stayed in the 10th percentile for weight! She has gone down every single time we visit the doctor, but this time she stayed in the exact same... 
Lila had her 9 month check-up yesterday. She’s dropped even lower in the percentiles. Here’s her stats:
Weight: 15 pounds, 10 ounces – 10th percentile
Height: 26.75 inches – 20th percentile
Head Circumference: 17.5 inces – 65th percentile
Even though Lila has dropped down to the 10th percentile (from 25th) for weight, the doctor said he isn’t concerned. She is a... 
It all started a couple weeks ago.
I got up and fed Lila before heading to work. When I left, Dave joined Lila on the floor of her room and they both fell asleep on the floor. We expected this to be a random fluke, but the next day, I left Lila in her crib (awake) when I went to work. When I came home, Dave told me that she fell back asleep in her crib and had just woken back up. This has been happening... 
Lila had her first solid food yesterday! Banana! It was a lot of fun and she loved it. Dave fed her while I took pictures and my mom took video. I couldn’t believe how much of it she ate. It was half a banana mixed with breast milk and she almost ate it all! We’ll be continuing to feed her banana for the next couple days before trying out a veggie

In celebration of Lila’s 6 month birthday, she had her first bite of solid food, today! We decided to go with banana… she loved it!

Last night was Lila’s first night sleeping in her crib. Until now, she’s been in our room.
Quick history on her sleep routine. When she was first born, Lila was strictly in bed with us. Then for the last couple months, we’ve had her start the night in the co-sleeper bassinet that is right up against my side of the bed, and when she wakes up, I bring her to bed so I can nurse her back...
