Dear Everyone, thank you.

I just wanted to send out a quick thank you to everyone who has shown my family their love and support. On Saturday, when I posted that I was bleeding, my blog got 348 hits and so many people sent me comments, tweets, and messages offering their words and prayers of encouragement and hope. This was my blog’s 2nd busiest day, and only by like 20 views. After announcing the miscarriage, I received a...

Going to miscarry :(

Well, I just got home from my ultrasound appointment and Baby didn’t develop past 5 weeks I haven’t officially miscarried yet, but my body has definitely started the process. The doctor said it should happen soon. I’m definitely very sad about this, but I’m doing ok. I knew from the beginning that there was a chance of this happening. Miscarriage rates are very high. I accepted...

Bleeding. Scared for Baby.

I debated even posting about this, but I can use all the prayers I can get. I also made the decision to announce our pregnancy while we were still in the early stages and still at significant risk for miscarriage and want to share every step of the way. Anyway, I started experiencing light bleeding last night and it’s alternated between red and brown since then. The good thing is that I...

A year ago today…

A year ago today… …we found out I was pregnant! Wow, it feels like is was only yesterday. Yet, when I was pregnant it felt like it had been many years ago! Isn’t it funny how our perception of time changes like that? I’ll still never forget that feeling of shock, joy, excitement, panic, and love that I felt the moment I looked down on that pee stick (with a toothbrush in my mouth) and saw two...

Sunday Stats

We’re at 35 weeks and it’s time for some Sunday Stats. I’m actually very pleased with this week’s results. Weight: 142 poundsWaist: 41.5 inches. So, in the past week and a half, my belly has grown half an inch and I’ve only gained half a pound! Woohoo! That puts my total weight gain at about 32 pounds. If I can keep my total weight gain less than or equal to 35 pounds,...

Midwife Appointment – 34 Weeks

We had another midwife appointment today. It went really well and really quick. I love quick appointments! Others may be frustrated that appointments are only 15-30 minutes long, but I think it’s great! We talked about swelling a little today. I’ve experienced some swelling in my feet, toes, and ankles a few times, but not much. The day it was the worst was the day after we moved and I was at...

So at 34 weeks, Baby is about 4.75 pounds, 17.75 inches long, and the size of an average cantaloupe! Mmmm, I love cantaloupe. Baby – The waxy protective coating, vernix, is becoming much thicker this week as the lanugo continues to shed and may be...
